Biodevices and Diagnostics

Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Scientist (Bioinformatics)

  • An opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team of biologists, clinicians and epidemiologists, focusing on applied research and immediate industrial and clinical applications in systems oncology
  • Responsible for developing tools and methods to analyze -omics level data focusing on genetics, WGS and expression-level work in RNA sequencing, with a special interest in liquid biopsy approaches
  • Work independently on developing methods and applications for bioinformatics analysis
  • Contribute to experimental design, pathway analysis to elicit biologic mechanisms, and the preparation of manuscripts
  • PhD degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline with a focus on Computational Biology and/or Bioinformatics, and expertise in -omics analysis
  • Proven track record of publication and project deployment
  • At least 1-2 years of work or related research experience preferred
  • Strengths in R/Bioconductor, Matlab, C++ and scripting languages e.g. Perl, Python
  • Experience with molecular biology, genetics or cancer research would be very useful

Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Scientist (Cell Biologist)

Lab Officer/Senior Lab Officer (Cancer Research)

  • Our research focuses on the characterization of drug resistance in cancer from biological (genetic, molecular and metabolic), clinical and engineering perspectives. We aim to develop meaningful approaches to determine key clinical outcomes of survival and adverse effects of chemotherapy using both human material and animal models, with a special focus on circulating tumor cells, nanomedicine, and cellular models, especially induced pluripotent stem cells. The laboratory environment is dedicated to translational research.
  • Highly motivated candidates with a Bachelor degree in Science, Pharmacy, Engineering or related disciplines
  • Key requirements: proficiency in cell culture and laboratory animal handling preferred; experience in cancer genetics and/or drug screening would be useful but not mandatory. Expertise in stem cell differentiation and culture would be of particular interest. A flexible schedule is an important requirement given scheduling of clinical materials.

Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Scientist (Automation Control & Firmware Development)

Lab Officer/Senior Lab Officer (Molecular Diagnostics)

  • Our research focuses on the development of new methods for molecular diagnostics based on nanotechnology. The new methods will allow accurate, inexpensive and rapid detection of biological markers that can be used to diagnose and monitor disease, detect risk, and decide personalized therapies. The laboratory work is focused on translational research and commercialization through validation of assays with clinical samples.
